Bisongrass formed in Aberdeen in late 2010 and settled on the current line-up shortly after and quickly earning themselves the dual honour of winning both ‘Best Newcomer’ and the coveted ‘Best Band’ gongs at The Fudge Awards 2012, the premier (er, only) music awards show in N.E. Scotland.

The album Bisongrass was recorded practically live by Niall Mathewson (of prog legends Pallas), and successfully showcases Bisongrass' low-tuned brand of UK sludge. Released in 2012 as a self funded effort, it netted them plays on several internet radio stations as well as some great reviews in magazines such as Terrorizer as well numerous blogs.

2013 is proving to be a busy year for the band, with ‘Best Album’, ‘Most Metal Of Metal’, ‘Best Live Act’ and ‘Best Band’ gongs scooped up at The Fudge Awards 2013, gigs in Glasgow and Edinburgh under their belts and festival appearances lined up for the summer, with the 2nd heat of the Bloodstock Festival ‘Metal To The Masses’ competition looming and a possible mini tour in May.
